What We Do

Three services.
Each done with care.

Our work covers pension rights review, EPF and retirement account dispute representation, and civil service pension appeals. Below is a detailed account of each — what it involves, how it proceeds, and what it costs.

Our Methodology

How we approach every matter

Regardless of which service a client engages, our process follows the same principles. We begin by listening — understanding the client's position, the history of the matter, and what outcome they are hoping for. We then carry out our own examination of the relevant documentation and legal framework before setting out our assessment in writing.

We do not proceed to any further step without the client's explicit written instruction. At each material stage, we provide an update in plain language, setting out what has happened and what comes next. Where a matter involves uncertainty about outcomes, we say so clearly rather than overstating what can be achieved.

1

Listen and document

Initial consultation to understand the full picture before any work begins.

2

Examine and assess

Review of documentation, scheme rules, and statutory framework — then a written assessment.

3

Act on instruction

Further steps only on the client's clear written instruction, with updates at each stage.

Service 01

Pension Rights Review

A considered review of your pension entitlement under your applicable scheme. We examine the contributions on record, the calculation method applied, and any apparent shortfalls or anomalies — then set everything out plainly in a written report.

This is a self-contained piece of work. You receive the report, take it home, and decide at your own pace whether any further step is warranted. There is no expectation — stated or implied — that you will commit to further representation.

What the review covers

  • Statement of contributions on record, cross-checked against scheme entitlement
  • Review of calculation methodology applied to your pension
  • Identification of any apparent shortfalls, anomalies, or discrepancies
  • Written summary report in plain language, for you to keep
  • Clear outline of any options available should further action be appropriate

Process steps

  1. 01Initial consultation — you explain your situation and we clarify what documentation will be needed.
  2. 02Documentation review — we examine your pension statements, scheme rules, and any relevant correspondence.
  3. 03Report preparation — a written summary of findings, in plain language, prepared for you to keep.
  4. 04Delivery and discussion — we walk through the report with you and answer any questions.

Suited to

Individuals who want to understand their pension position — whether they suspect an error, are approaching retirement, or simply want clarity after years of contributions.

Service 02

EPF & Retirement Account Dispute Representation

Representation in disputes concerning Employees Provident Fund accounts — including contested withdrawals, employer non-contribution matters, and account reconciliation disagreements. We begin with a written assessment of the merits and likely paths before proceeding on your instruction.

Updates are sent in plain language at each stage so you are never left wondering where matters stand. Nothing proceeds without your clear written instruction to act.

What this service covers

  • Contested EPF withdrawal applications and rejections
  • Employer non-contribution or under-contribution matters
  • Account balance reconciliation disagreements
  • Written merits assessment before representation begins
  • Correspondence with EPF Board and related parties on your behalf

Process steps

  1. 01Initial consultation and document gathering — understanding the full history of the dispute.
  2. 02Written merits assessment — our honest view of the position and the likely paths available.
  3. 03Written instruction from you — we proceed only once you have confirmed in writing.
  4. 04Active representation — correspondence, submissions, and engagement with the EPF Board at each stage.
  5. 05Written updates throughout — plain-language reports at each material stage until resolution.

Suited to

Employees or former employees with an unresolved dispute with the EPF Board — whether over a withdrawal, a contribution shortfall, or a discrepancy in the account records.

Service 03

Civil Service Pension Appeal

Preparation and conduct of an appeal against a civil service pension decision — whether concerning entitlement, calculation method, or commencement date. The work includes a careful review of the original determination, gathering of supporting documentation, drafting of grounds of appeal, and representation through the hearing.

We share honest assessments at each stage, including realistic views on the likelihood of different outcomes. We will not present an appeal in stronger terms than the merits support.

What this service covers

  • Appeals against entitlement decisions under civil service pension schemes
  • Appeals concerning calculation methodology or quantum of pension
  • Appeals relating to pension commencement date disputes
  • Full grounds drafting, supporting documentation, and hearing representation
  • Correspondence with the Public Service Department where required

Process steps

  1. 01Review of original decision — examining the determination and the basis on which it was made.
  2. 02Honest merits assessment — our realistic view of the grounds and likely outcomes at appeal.
  3. 03Documentation and grounds — gathering supporting material and preparing the grounds of appeal.
  4. 04Submission and correspondence — lodging the appeal and handling all correspondence through to hearing.
  5. 05Hearing representation — presenting the case at the appeal hearing with full preparation.
